“She just wanted me to photograph her wedding for her.” Luckily for Noelle, her good friend’s Melissa and Erica understood that she would regret that decision to just have them photograph her wedding with their phones! Melissa contacted me the week before the wedding and told me that her BFF had to plan her wedding in three weeks do to a family illness. Noelle and Jared had chosen the beautiful Lord Jeffery Inn in Amherst MA and were planning a small, intimate affair that was based around their young family and their guests.
I immediately felt a connection with Noelle when we spoke after Melissa and Erica told her they had hired my services as a wedding gift. She told me all about her family illness and how she was focusing on her family and wanted to just enjoy this special occasion with her close family and friends. We came up with a plan for portraits and went over all of her details.
Noelle and Jared were the most relaxed couple I have ever met. Noelle was holding her beautiful 1o month old baby girl while her hair and makeup was applied, all the while her 3 yo was preparing for his ring bearer duties. Jared was equally calm and cool. The two of them rolled through the day with great ease. It was very evident that they were focused on their family and friends and just enjoying the meaning of the day. It was absolutely beautiful!
The biggest lesson I have learned from being a wedding photographer is that it does not matter how big or how small your wedding is, at the end of the day, you are making a significant promise to your partner in front of all the people you love and care about. No matter how big or small your ceremony is, it is truly about your promise to your partner.
Congratulations Noelle & Jared. I hope you enjoy a lifetime of happiness together!
