Naja- In need of a good home!

Five hours to live…that’s what little Naja was facing when she was rescued by her guardian angel, Audra Gardiner.  She was at the City of Hartford kill shelter in Ct , and was about to be euthanized simply because she was abandoned.  She was found tied to a pole outside so tight she couldn’t move and could barely breathe.  She was “rescued” but was put on death row merely because of time.  Audra is an animal lover to the core, with a special place in her heart for pitbulls.  She has started an effort to help these poor pups escape senseless death.  She posts Urgent messages regarding dogs that only have hours to live in hopes of finding foster/forever homes for them.  It’s heart wrenching to see these posts come across my Facebook Newsfeed.  I can’t adopt or foster because I have an alfa male german shephard in my home already, however, I knew there was something I could do.  Perception is part of the problem with rescues.  Most of the time, quick snapshots are taken in an effort to get the message out quick.  The photos that were up of the pups that she currently has in foster care were not very flattering.  I knew I could help.  I contacted Audra and was thrilled when she accepted my offer to photograph her pups in hopes of finding them their forever home! Please find Audra on facebook at

Without further ado, it is my great pleasure to introduce you to Naja.  Naja is 51 lb shar pei/pitbull mix.  She is great with kids, dogs, cats, and passed the vet test with flying colors.  She has a great personality and knows basic commands.  Her dream human loves taking her for car rides and snuggling in bed with each other.  I absolutely loved her while I was with her.  She has such a sweet, loving demeanor.  If you are interested in learning more about Naja, please contact Audra Gardiner.  Please share this with everyone you know.  You never know who will fall in love with her! (Don’t let the serious posing fool you, she was intent on getting the treats I had brought along for her! She was wiggling her little but and playing the entire session!)
